I read an article the other day about how NFL linemen have taken up the art of Wing Chun to assist then in their blocking. I think that is so cool!

        i have heard the same.

some have done tai chi as well i believe. personally, TCC would be quite a bit better for the purpose than WC. BGZ would be even better.

either way, still nice to see traditional arts making an impact in pro american(or otherwise) sports.

from what i know, kostya tszyu practiced iron fist, some iron body, and some internal training which an aussie rugby team also practices. i've known about some pro race car drivers that practice xing yi(my art) - it helps them relax in the midst of driving at high speeds while battling with other cars.

quite a bit of movie stars, and even some musicians, have traditional MA backrounds. i believe jason stathom(one of my fave action heros these days) has wing chun and kickboxing in his backround. lou reed does chen tai chi. hugh jackman does chen tai chi. kareem abdul jabar and james colburn studied a bit with bruce lee(not that bruce was much more of a martial artists than an actor.)

i beleive some/most of the wutang clan(rap group) has studied shaolin.

i'm sure there's a lot more who have studied one thing or another. you know, if every athlete studied an internal martial art, we would have a lot more spectacular athletes than we have now. no bull****!
