Lucky man my friend. Pity he didn't get that win. Would have loved to see him even the score and KO Eubank. Certainly better Benn than Calzaghe.

Damn. A salivating idea. I say a Hearns UD or Benn KO. Tommy's jab was no joke. He could find the right hand for sure since Benn loved to brawl, but Nigel wouldn't go so easily. I could see him breaking through Tommy's chin. Would have been great at 160. Just couldn't trust Hearns' whiskers in a dogfight. Benn wasn't a scary hitter, but I think he could put Tommy outta there.

I'd favour Hearns in that match up. But the way Benn came back from that 1st round beatdown from McClellan makes it a possibility for him to beat Hearns.

Hearns was a puncher in a boxer's body. Real tall and lean, octopus arms. He just wasn't the kind f guy who was really effective in close. If Benn could get inside on him, which would mean walking through some nasty 1-2s, he could definitely batter Tommy up close. Tough call. I couldn't see Hearns blasting him out, but I think he could outpoint him. Benn would have to get to the skinny man's body and chop him down round by round, then finish up top. Hard to make a sure call on who I'd have bet on. I suppose if I had to pick, 60-40 chance on a Hearns decision. Would have been a doozy to see them in a 15 rounder.
