Anyone noticed how boxing fans seem to re-imagine history quite a bit? Sometimes, the loser of a fight goes on to do as well or better than the winner, and you get people who had no issue with the fight when it happened suddenly see things differently, but claim that they always felt that way.

After Maidana beat Ortiz and Khan beat Kotelnik, people suddenly started going on about how Maidana had been robbed against Kotelnik. 99% had never voiced that opinion beforehand and probably didn't even watch the fight.

Another example is how, after Calzaghe-Hopkins, everyone agreed it was a horrible fight. But then after Hopkins beat Pavlik, Calzaghe was suddenly a ***** because he hadn't given Hopkins an immediate rematch, even though no-one even wanted to see a rematch until the Pavlik fight.

Just made me think of it now as there's an NSB thread asking if Pascal was weight-drained against Froch.
