      depends on the type of fighter. you get a brawler , slugger then a trainer will have minimal impact.

      you get a technical fighter and they are more important.

        Roach has improved Pac big time though. Watching his early fights he was just - jab straight jab straight etc.

                    the jab straight pacquiao was actually roach's doing.

                    the younger pacquiao was wild. throwing wild uppercuts and roundhouse punches.

                    roach got him to be the straight forward jab jab straight guy first so he wouldn't be so vulnerable and get koed.

                    then he added the hooks and uppercuts back but more controlled.
