It does seem a bit odd I admit but let me explain.

When I visited the states, I went to Atlantic City New Jersey. On the boardwalk they had that "fries" stand. They were pretty good but not better than pub chips. What made them stuck in me mind was while I was there, I saw a fat yank eating a large portion of these chips loaded with cheese making a mess out of shirt. I found it amusing, too bad I didn't take a picture.
