Kids play full contact from primary school age down here. It's organised by size, rather than age so the Islanders don't have an unfair advantage over the Pommie kids!

According to the people who work all this stuff out, there are more kiwi kids playing football than rugby these days so it's possible the AB's are going to see a drop off in talent soon.

They should have kept the options of rugby open at least for those who wanted to do it. ****** to scrap the whole thing.
I had no feckin' interest in playing football. I used to just hang around the edges of the pitch and watch the girls' class doing their running and stuff. If I ever kicked the ball, it was pure fluke.

How much of a chance does Barker have? I've seen him a couple of times when I've streamed the FNF from Sky Sports and he looked decent going forward, but he completely dominated both times against relative nobodies. Has he been tested at any point?

Barker is one of those that really annoys me. It's hard to get a real reading on the bloke.
He hasn't had a true test yet imo. It's the usual story of a prospect working his way up against a select opposition until the time comes when he has to step up for real.

They haven't met because they don't like the risk. Macklin has been in with the better guys so I'd lean towards him.
