Yeah, it seems like The Fighter is kinda like a boxing movie for people who aren't big boxing fans? Y'know, the types who love Rocky and once tried to drink a raw egg and go jogging, but who have never heard of any short, stocky Somoan-New Zealand heavyweights.

Kinda like how so many people loved The Wrestler, yet I think 'Beyond The Mat' was much better and most wrestling fans would agree with me (not that I'm a wrestling fan, but I was 10 years ago when it came out) especially as The Wrestler kinda ripped off the Jake The Snake part of Beyond The Mat.
