Khan showed a lot of toughness and heart. In round 10 I thought he should've taken a knee and would get finished if he didn't. Instead he took more punishment yet survived. Also nice to see him finish the fight aggressive.

To quote Johnny Cash at San Quentin "Awww come on, you don't really mean that".
I think Khan proved a lot tonight and my main problem with him before was that he didn't seem to want to fight Maidana. I don't like the bandwagon stuff, but I like him more after tonight and I think he deserves a lot of credit.
He annoyed me a few times in the past with different comments, but I don't think he in the same league as Floyd for ****ishness.
The only reason Maidana didn't stop him in the 10th was because Maidana was tired.
I thought the ref was OK. They got tangled up a few times and then Maidana carried on fighting, it was just one of those things I think, no one to blame really.
Not sure how close Khan was to going down but I think most boxers would get tired like Maidana did, even if you have 12 round stamina you get tired going all out for a KO. Not many boxers have taken that much punishment in one round and still stayed upright and come back to win.
I think Khan did good in lots of ways. Proved some things in terms of how he could fight very well early and how he could gut it out late, plus I think he'll probably learn a lot from this fight.
The ref and Khan's holding and running won it for him. It would have only been the FOTY if Maidana sparked him out. If Maidana had just a tad bit more left in the tank, he would have stopped Khan in the 10th, Khan got lucky. It'll be another 5 years before we see Khan in there with a top class puncher, it's back to fighters with low KO percentages. I don't think highly of Ortiz or like him, but he KO's Khan.
