He's a Mongolian fighter based in the UK. He's Tua's kind of guy, the type of boxer who never loses a fight, but just runs out of time. He's 29-4, most wins by KO, all losses by decision. When he was 2-0 he fought an 18-1 guy, and he lost to Lebwada by MD not long after Pac fought him.

If he got a fair shot then I think he would've held a belt at some point. As it is UK promoters prefer to give chances to overprotected bums.

More than 2 and a half years ago he was brought in as an opponent to a 20-0 Brit boxer. He ****d him in brutal fashion. Since then he has only been given 2 more fights, whereas the Brit he destroyed has had 6 more and been given opportunities he didn't deserve.

He's doing Prizefighter tomorrow. War guy with hard to spell name!

Those things can take you pretty far though. A lot of world champions are a bit bigger than their opposition, not because they pick on smaller guys but because a lot of the time the best guys are one of the biggest at the weight. Martinez isn't that big at MW but before him you had Pavlik, Taylor, Hopkins who are all about 6'1. I might be overlooking someone but I don't recall any of those 3 ever defending against someone bigger/taller, all of their wins were against guys who were a bit shorter or the same size at most.

Pac and Floyd do well against bigger guys, but most boxers don't.

I think Williams has an advantage because of his flaws. I know that doesn't sound like it makes sense, but what I mean is that Martinez didn't really do anything wrong last time, so how can he improve and do better this time? Whereas Williams can look at his shortcomings and the things he does wrong and change them. I guess Martinez could change his stamina, but I don't think any boxer has ever improved his stamina at the age of 35.

Yeah, Bute would probably beat him, although I'd give Martinez a good chance. I don't think Bute wants to face a legit threat anyway, he gets paid well to fight guys who aren't world class while his fans pay for it and blame everyone else for not facing him. He's kinda like a bigger, whiter Andre Berto.
