I wouldn't say Bale's a bad actor, because I haven't watched all his films
I always thought he was best at reserved, no fuss characters... he's better at playing Bruce Wayne than he is at Batman
But his performances in Harsh Times & Public Enemies are poor, bad casting plays a part in that though.

He's a cringeworthy actor in general though
Everything is so awkward on screen, never feels natural
His speech outside the courthouse in public enemies in his ye olde English accent is a good example.

I figured it was impossible to watch a film starring Bale and Depp without Rich Loke showing up and wanking on the screen or something. Maybe it would've been amusing at the cinema but I could live without having to clean spunk off my TV.
