If they're not going to fight each other now, maybe they will at a higher weight. 140 pisses me off. All of these guys are pretty good. Without 2 or 3 really big names or established great fighters as division foils, 5 or 6 good contenders/titlists makes a hell of a resume statement. If one of those guys would just say fuck it and try to clean up, they could be on the path to potential greatness. Too bad everybody gets a belt then acts like a ho these days.

At the top level, you get more money in one fight than in a bunch of lesser fights. But you've got to put in the work to get in that position when you're young. Those guys are all arguably in their prime, just not necessarily at their peak. That's the time to take risks and go for it. Maybe you suffer a loss or 2 along the way, but if you come back stronger you'll be on top picking your fights a few years later. Bradley seemed like the guy who was going to do it, but now he's getting shaky.

Yeah, in all seriousness if i was a title holder like Khan, i would WANT to prove that i was the best, i'd be like Creed in rocky 2, i'd read the fans slagging me off and want to fight the best, it would get to me.

That "get paid" rubbish is appalling, and I see it on the boxing forum anytime I look in there. Those dinnermashers act like they're going to get an allowance from their favorite fighters for towing the line for him on a boxing website.

Obviously these guys want all the money they can get. But if you don't want to fight, don't become a professional boxer. It's a young man's game, not like the 9-5's average lads have. Athletes have a certain amount of time to push themselves to achieve something truly great before they just can't go anymore, especially fighters. It's a damn shame when they refuse to do it.
