Are we acting like Kendrick Lamar &/or Schoolboy Q or a hundred other artist around now isn't hip hop or ignoring that millions upon millions of fans listen to hip hop artists every single day of the year?
I think there are a lot of douchy hip hop fans who try to say this stuff over here is hip hop & this stuff over there isn't for whatever silly ass reason they want it to be that isn't based on any sorta real reality on what hip hop music is. Its like the deal with bands or movies or anything artistic I'd argue. Some cats see something they enjoy go mainstream & they act like this thing thats super popular now isn't the same thing as the stuff they enjoy so they can feel superior or whatever.

Am I missing the true argument by acting like Kendrick Lamar isn't hip hop or that the millions upon millions of fans he has aren't realllllly hip hop fans for some reason?
Thus guys using better technology are somehow not hip hop artists since they aren't using some sh^t KRS-One used in '87 (& sh^t idek what technology Kendrick or anyone else today uses cuz idgaf, but just curious is that the real topic)?
