Better MC: Cube or Jay-Z?

Are you kidding me? Jay Z by a landslide. Jay Z was much more rhythmic and had better rhymes. Ice Cube was more one-dimensional, and if he wasn't telling a story, he could be down right bland. I personally like both of them, but I think Jay's mic skills were just on another level from Cube.

hard to say as they're stylistically different. Jay definitely has the wordplay and insane pace and breath control down, but i think he developed that to keep up with the artists of his time. i mean Cube came from a time where hardly anyone had a flow that doubled up on the beats. i think that Cube could hold his own, but he wouldn't win in a freestyle comp.

What's that got to do with anything? I still think Jay-Z was overall the better MC. Cube's voice seemed to get worse as he got older as well, along with the quality of his albums.
