Hard to put any of these above the other because at one time they were my current fav.
        1. 2pac-voice, passion, mic presence, topics, his music transcended rap even before he died(keep ya head up, dear mama).
        2. Prodigy-infamous, hell on earth are two of my favourite albums ever and every verse he laid on those two albums gave me goose bumps. I realize he fell off after that but for those two albums alone I rank him there.
        3. Now that I'm older I realize nas, even in his younger years, was similar to PAC. They both made songs with a message or story, not just rapping to rap. One love, black girl lost, ny state of mind pt 2, etc
        4. Big pun- boricua!
        5. Project pat- lol, strange pick, but his albums were full of crazy beats and vivid tales of drugs and crime. Probably the most underrated gangster rapper ever.

I'll be the first to say I haven't listened to enough for my list to be worth much. It's always changing, and it depends on my current listening habits.

Right now: Ice-T, Ice Cube, KRS-One, Big Daddy Kane, Guru
