Seriously, who's the better group--Atmosphere or Gangstarr?

This is a question that I've had for sometime. I've been a fan of Atmosphere for a few years, now, but it has only been recently that I've really delved deeply into their albums. Gangstarr's Moment of Truth is one of the most aesthetic and amazing albums I've ever heard. It's hard as **** to decide who's the better between the two.

What do you guys think? Honest opinions, please from only people that have listened to alot of work from the two groups.

Gangstarr is one of the 3-4 greatest hip hop groups ever...consisting of probably the greatest producer to ever do it, and a great, sometimes overlooked emcee in his own right.

Slug and Ant are exactly that in comparison to Gangstarr. It's really not a fair matchup.

I think it's a fair matchup. For a half decade now, Atmosphere has been one of the most popular and critically acclaimed underground rap group. Ant is a talented producer--not as great as premier but not considerably far behind-- and Slug is one of the most intelligent and well written rappers ever.

I love Atmosphere's music, truly, but it's no contest. Gangstarr has at least 3 certified classic albums. Atmosphere has 2 albums that I think are extremely good, and elite, but not classic. Primo's beats are unbelievable.

Gang Starr is the greatest rap group EVER! way above everyone else, easily my favorite, so my opinion is a little biased, but I have heard a bunch of atmosphere as well and I still think its no contest.

There's just pretty much no way atmosphere would ever enter Gangstarrs realm. It's two bonafide legends against two cult legends...

Gangstarr is a pillar in the NY hip hop game.
