The Worst Fanbases in Hip Hop

Boxings been packing awful fan bases over the years for the likes of Pac, May, and Tyson among others. But hip hop especially goes over the top with it. So let's mock fanboys. (This is not that the artists are bad to remind you, just majority of the fans)

No specific order, just a few

    Young Money:
This fanbase has been dying hard, (considering Kidz Bop outsold them) so they're not as bad. But their fans generally haven't heard Hip hop outside the billboards.

    ICP:

    Explanation not really required.

The "Hip Hop is Dead Old school forever!" Guys:
The billboards might be awful but look else where, it's not that bad as its made out to be.

The "Who listens to Old school?" Guys:
Hip hop is probably the only genre that forgets it legends and shuns people who don't think Kendrick Lamar is already a top ten artist. (And I like K.Dot but chill)

    2Pac and Biggie:
Pac and B.I.G will always be in GOAT discussion, their talent was amazing and they were astounding in storytelling. But...some people get homicidal tendencies if you don't drop them in the top two. Mainly casuals.

    Now for the WOAT Fanbase

    Eminem:
That's right. I'm not a fan of him anymore, but his stans are insane. I'd drop Em in a top 20 all time myself just for how hard he fell off from Encore to Recovery but for the love of Zod, if you don't rank him #1 Stans will grab pitch forks and torches. Even on WatchMojo's (even though WM is garbage) pathetic list that ranked 50 Cent in a top ten the comment section is nothing but "EMINEM!!! YOU ****ING KIDDING ME!? #6?!" They also love the "All rappers are about drugs, killing, and ***! except Eminem!!" nonsense.

Oh and they also consider D12 to actually be among the top groups of all time.

    Feel free to join Zod

I just hate any of the people that only listen to overproduced chart crap then when you play them some legitimate classics they turn their noses up at it because it doesnt have a catchy chorus (usually a female singing about how much she loves said rapper who then proceeds to rap about how awesome and rich he is).

Agreed with this list entirely. And I'd also like to add that Eminem has numerous songs about raping women & dead babies & ****, but that slides for some odd reason. He's dope with everything else except that nonsense, and he's definitely not the goat even though he's good. His fanbase consists of mostly Pactards and Flomos put together.

He's def. got a few ****** lines on his record too. I mentioned that to a Stan that was arguing with me the other day and he was like "But he has meaning when he says this stuff"

While I think Em is Top 5 Dead or Alive, I agree his fan base as a whole is pretty ****ing bad. Same with Pac and Biggie. Reasons are because their fan bases are so big, there's bound to be tons of idiots that listen to them. Obviously Em with the raping women stuff and ****** (namely on I'm Back), it's supposed to be tongue and cheek meant to get a rise out of people. Em has made some terrible.....terrible records. Even still with everything he's done, the good and great far out weighs the bad. There's two sides to Em.....on one side he's the biggest rapper ever because he's white and transcended the genre to all these white kids who never would've listened to rap, so he sold a **** ton of records. On the other side....he's white and some sadly will never give the guy his just due. From a lyrical perspective, he should be Top 10 on any list, Top 5 depending on who's rating it obviously. Just my two cents. Like my boy Rakim said....If Em were black, he'd be the Muhammad Ali of Hip Hop to everyone. Ems nasty.

Problem with these guys fan bases at large is 3/4 of the people who listen to them don't really know anything about hip hop in general. They listen mainly to other genres but happen to like these guys. When you have an emcee like Pac or Em that have sold in excess of 75-80+ Million records.....most of that is usually people that aren't "hip hop heads" or hardcore listeners of the genre.

I also agree with the people who are like "Hip Hop sucks now"......Hate those people

As if Em and Nas still aren't spitting dope bars, we have Jay still though I admit I haven't really liked an album of his since American Gangster. And we have younger kats like Kendrick, Joey Bada$$, Big Krit, Logic, Yelawolf, Earl Sweatshirt, Tyler, Cole, and many many more. There's still plenty of dope hip hop.

Let's not act like those golden age rappers, mainly gangster rap, was all this lyrical greatness 100% of the time. From THE CHRONIC, a universally recognized classic in hip hop. "Never let me slip, cuz if I slip, then I'm slippin'"......LOL

To me....the worst fan bases are definitely Young Money, ICP fans, Hip Hop sucks now people, etc.

And I don't think Em fell of as hard as people make it out. He may not be able to craft another classic like his first three major albums, but the dude is lyrical beast still at 41 years old. People just don't know what they want from Em anymore, it's like because he can't live up to how great his first 3 were, everything else is automatically trash. Nevermind that Nas has never been able to live up to his first two albums, yet doesn't get 1% the hate Em does.

I Am... and Nastradamus were as average/mediocre as a whole as Encore and Relapse were. And I don't think the highs on those albums had the highs those two did. But the lows probably weren't quite as low either, haha. And Recovery/MMLP2 Em was spittin' hard 95% of the time. Problem I have with Recovery is half the albums production was mediocre or crappy, and MMLP2 for whatever reason had Survival/Berzerk/The Monster......which completely didn't fit how dope the rest of the album was. Em needs to make smarter decisions on what to leave on/off his albums.

            Agree about D12 too.....

Devils Night was dope IMO. D12 World was garbage aside from like 3-4 tracks. Ems new group on Shady, Slaughterhouse is 110% better than D12 ever was.

D12 had some guys that could spit, but Bizarre was utterly worthless. Royce and Crooked from Slaughterhouse would spit circles around most of D12....

The thing I hate about 75% of Eminem fans is they listen to him only, no one else within hip hop. And they say stuff like....."Man all these other rappers talk about nothing at all, Eminam always talks about real stuff".....Yeah not true.

Em brought us closer to his life than any other rapper ever probably, but even in his absolute prime from 97-02, at least half the stuff he put out wasn't personal, and was all about flow/punchlines. But one of the reasons I think Em is one of the GOAT's is because he can do basically anything or any type of song. He can do story telling greatness, personal introspective tracks, songs with just insane flows and punchlines, etc. What made Em one of the best ever was because he listened to EVERYTHING, all the greats before him and took a little of all of them, yet still kept his sound original.

But one of his greatest assets is being able to do many different flows, songs, sounds, etc. None of his albums sound the same, you can't say that about even someone as great as Nas. That's a rare thing in Hip Hop. You can just turn on any song of his from his 8 albums and know instantly what album it's from, if you know what each of his albums sound like of course.

But I do hate the fans who just talk nonsense, and CLEARLY....CLEARLY don't listen to anything in hip hop besides him.

This wasn't even kinda about if he was good or not...but..since you insist

I really doubt that. Jay and Nas got **** on when they dropped poor albums. And Encore/Relapse are eons worse than anything those two put out.

Comparison isnt the same. There's failing to live up to hype then there's making this

As a single for your new album. People will buy Nas and Jay-Z albums with out the same criticism because they didn't make garbage like that and expect you to actually pay for it.

EDIT: perhaps i should've put Dre on there, stans hold him at a top 3 regard just because he discovered Eminem.

No doubt those were terrible, I acknowledged that. There were significant highs on those albums though.

I Am... And Nastradamus were such forgettable albums man, Nas going through the motions. And Jay has ABSOLUTELY made albums as mediocre as those. Blueprint 2 and 3, Kingdom Come, MCHG, etc. Nas doesn't get 1% the hate from hip hop heads as Jay or Em. Hes held to this IMMORTAL status by heads, even though hes never close to matching his first two either.

But I agree with everything else. Whats puzzling about Em is how could stuff so bad like Big Weenie, Ass like that, My furst single be on an album that also had Mockingburd, Yellow Brick Road, Like Toy Soldiers, Mosh, We As Americans, etc? Like I said, Em needs to make better decisions on what songs to leave on/off his albums. I guve him a slight pass for his 2004-2005 stuff because it was the height of hus drug addiction. Like I said, the goid far out weighs the bad.

Nothing on I Am... Or Nastradamus was as good as the highs on Encore or Relapse, but nothing was as bas the lows either. Nothing realkt stoid out, everything was just iiight average. Encore had some great records, a lot of mediocre ones, some AWFUL ones toi. Same with Relapse.

I actually like I Am... for the beginning. Hate Me Now, Small World, Favor for a Favor (dat Scarface), ****** Prisoners, We Will Survive. The rest doesn't follow though. (...Dr.Knockboot doe...ugh....)

The kids like that brag rap i guess. It's mainly the mainstream portraying him as a God in Hip hop though. Every music was dropping Yeezus and Holy Grail at their top hip hop album lists last year just to play it safe. Jay's missteps have always kinda followed the same braggadocious pattern. (except that piece of **** Kingdom Come. No really, **** that Me and My Girlfriend abomination. Apologize to' Pac for that ****!)

Drugs. Heavy drugs, I imagine anyhow. However I will say Recovery..is not bad in a technical stand point. He was back lyrically the album was just not interesting. I got sleepy two thirds in and start skipping through it. I didn't check out MMLP2 because the singles were just not for me.
