I was just listening to some DMX.

Rakim, Guru, Ghostface Killah, Kool G Rap, Tupac, Black Thought, B Real, Nas, Common, Del, Masta Ace, Mos Def and many more... I used to think I liked hip hop and I didn't even know Rakim. then I had to go back and listen to all the old school I missed. But there was no genre hotter in and around the early '90s imo.
