    Ice Cube is the best MC ever.

    From a social commentary POV. His early stuff is amazing at capturing the political mood of an era. As a historian and political scientist by training, I find his socio-political depth quite amazing.

    Not to mention that his stuff is hilarious and some of it resonates with oppressed people the world over.

    Ice Cube was a good rapper but definetely not the best! There are a lot of guys better, Tupac, Rakim, Immortal Technique, Nas are better socially conscious rappers.

      I'd say he's certainly 'up there' in the echelons of rap regardless, good points made in your post too, perhaps not the GOAT, but definitely a case for it considering how you put it. I can see him staying relevant/still troopin' in a decade plus easy.

        He gets real deep. Some of it is an issue of delivery - he has an easy to understand, clear voice and a rhythmic style.

          My favourite rapper of all time. Realest thread I've seen in a while and although the objective fan in me says Rakim is the greatest of all time (and he is), the fan in me has no problem when Cube is called the GOAT. I sincerely have no problem if anyone calls him the greatest. Death Certificate, hands down my favourite rap album of all time.

            tupac is the best rapper of all time.

            ice cube is without a doubt in my top five favorite rappers list.


            amerikka's most wanted and death certificate are classic albums.
