Who Here Thinks The Black Album Was A Classic?

I think every single song on that album is hot. And in my opinions its a hip hop classic. Whats your opinion?

Not a classic. It's a good album but I prefer a couple of the remix albums floating around better than the original. The one by Skamm Goodiez is better than the original in my opinion. I also like the Dangermouse Grey Album.

It's not a classic, but it is above average, I like it, personally, but it's not a classic.

"Change clothes" is a horrible song.

I liked every song on it. Even "change clothes." And the video for change clothes, there were some hot girls in that video.

It's a good album, I can't stand that song, but we all have different tastes. I probably listen to Prince's The Black Album more than Jay's. I think Jay-Z could have taken more time with TBA, and turned it into a classic, but it seemed rushed, and wasnt as solid as The Blueprint.

I agree with Godzand... it was good. Not a classic. Plus he had an all-star production team, which somewhat takes away from it being called a classic IMO, because it's easier to make better songs.

Life after Death still had some true hip hop producers and not as established producers. This didn't take away from the quality.

But when you're using Blaze, Neptunes, Kanye, 9th wonder, Eminem and Timbaland, it really is a little hard to go wrong.

Not classic but a solid album. My First Song is one of Jiggas best efforts ever.

The 9th Wonder re-release is pretty good too. Moment of Clarity is real tight on that album.

Moment of Clarity sounds like all Em beats. But I have seen him in the lab before and **** he doesn't play the keyboard or anything. He literally hums the melody to a guy who can actually play the music.

                  That's Em's production in a nutshell.
