Wow, I would expect this to be unanimous. The old South was serious, the new south is 90% gimmick, no disrespect intended, but it's the truth

I'm an old school head and I grew up on the Geto Boys, 5th Ward Boyz, that old Outkast, Eightball/Mjg and all the others so I got to go with that old south ****. That pretty much goes for almost all the music I listen to from every side.

I thought a lot of people would choose old south too. But a lot of guys I talked too all picked new south. Why? They all said the same thing:the beats. Didn't matter what they're sayin' its the beats. I'm 23, these guys are older than me an' would rather hear Lil Jon than
8ball & MJG. Is this just my 'hood?

Old south, All that crunk music is cool for workin out and ****, but that old south is some serious ridin music. That old south had the mello beats and some real flow. Scarface and the old outkast was the ****. Even when Ludacris dropped his first major record that **** was cool. I like the new stuff, but if the old stuff came out now it would blow this stuff out of the water.

Cant go past geto boys.. definitely put houston on the map. Definitely into ludacris and lil jons beats though..
