    One song

Say you have a friend who is not into hip hop at all and you have one chance to sell him. He asks you to tell him one song to listen to that will change his opinion on hip hop. What song do you reccomend?

Something mainstream, the really catchy songs that stick with you.

      triumph by the wu

no hooks, just a beat and some of the best to ever grab a mic.

deck kicks it off with an insane verse, one of the best in hip-hop.

No offense guys, but newcomers don't really get glued to underground rap. That comes after you've listened to quite a few mainstream songs and want to know what real rhyming is.

that song wasnt under ground, at that time the wu was one of if not the biggest group in rap. the early to mid 90's wu was big.

Sorry, didn't mean "underground underground." Rather the not so mainstream music.

Exactly, because you hit the real hiphop phase. To all newcomers, they all get hooked through mainstream music that everyone's quoting, it's a fact.
