who is better at rap battles?

eminem or KRS-one?

i've never actually seen KRS battle someone in person but he said in an interview that if someone was a big name then he would write a rap that would destroy their career, or something to that extent.

Have to say Eminem. Krs tried to end Nellys career and couldn't do it. Eminem is vicious when battling people. He killed Benzino, Ja Rule, and Whitey Ford. Wish he would've actually took the Canibus battle seriously though. Canibus is also a great battler.

yeah i was thinking of the nelly 'battle' he only won because nelly is commercial. rap had changed drastically by this point in time. everyone has their time.

at summerjam during nelly's performance he was being booed a lot, this COULD have been because of KRS, if you watch a documentary called beef 2 it explains the whole thing between the two. The people that backed Nelly were probably young, not all but the majority of them. the real rap addicts that appreciate the lyrics would have still been listening to KRS.

But getting back to the point of the question i actually meant if they were face to face proper battling, not over tracks.

Face to face i would say Eminem. That's what got Dre to notice him, and although he lost that rap competition he was in he lost to Juice. Besides MC Supernatural, Juice is one of the best freestyle artists in the world, and a very respected and accomplished battle MC.

I saw Beef 2 by the way. You are correct, Nelly is more commercial, and nowadays KRS is just known by more old school hip hop heads. Nelly won that battle simply by not replying. If he would've come back chances are KRS eats him alive. The fact he didn't respond makes KRS look like a salty old rapper, and kind of like a nobody.
