IMO, everbody can sample nowadays and will sound good...

Imo, everybody can sample now. we live in a modern world right now where theres alot of digital technology going on. you can even make your own beats in your little studio inside youre house. all you need is to listen to a lot of albums. listen to different genres and learn from it.

For example; its like film making today. if you have your own computer, camera, youre good to go. you can shoot/edit by yourself.

    agree or not?

Yeah well i use to..Yes anyone can make beats but not well...Most of the people that are dropping **** are not sampled based. They are just simple ass keyboard beats. Listen to whats popular now its a simple couple of notes and loops

That's called "The sign of the times", but I think you're depending on the notion that technology itself is what makes the actual beats, which is obviously far from the case. Technology's made it easier for people to work out of their cribs, but it doesn't mean every person with a Pro Tools set up is a Multi-Platinum producer.

Anyone can purchase a guitar and a drum kit etc. However like most things the majority will fall into the average category while only a few really excel. Same for beat making...................

You never needed a huge studio to make beats.

MPC, turn table, keyboard with a decent sound bank + something to record and you can make some good stuff.

The only difference is that now you can do all that with a computer. But i still use my MPC and my keyboard, MPC makes for much better drums and creating a bass line or melody with a virtual keyboard sucks.

Computers have made it easier for the producer to create at home instead of taking your MPC or Keyboard to a studio and tracking everything up there. You can simply send Pro Tools sessions via email / link and have it mixed or have someone jump on a track and then have them send you back sessions to mix, etc. Technology has made it convenient for people to get work done, but all together it doesn't mean everyone can make dope **** just because they have a software program to make beats. I still use my MPC 2000XL with a couple synths and Pro Tools, but converting to Logic (which is REALLY dope!)
