As with anything, boxing and hip hop included. Legacy is something that's determined long after an artist is gone, if in 10-20 years we still hear eminem's name and songs staying strong then indeed his legacy is cemented. Personally though, I don't rank him high in my all time favorite or most skilled rappers. Like i've said before he had the potential and released a few great albums in his prime, but his decline has been steady and unfortunate in my opinion.

Em's got one classic in my mind the MM LP, but that ranks as high as any hip hop album ever made in my mind. When a project reaches a certain level you can't really compare them to others at the same level.
I just don't like anything after 2000........anything, anything, ANYTHING !!!
I think losing Proof ****ed up his vibe, not that Proof was responsible for Em's success but I think it emotionally and spiritually took some of his edge away.
I think Proof and the rest of the crew provided that hip hop environment a lot of emcees need to thrive off of !!!
I'm sure the group freestyle sessions were never the same and that is like training, all the other guys suck.
