be southern rappers? Rappers like Maino, fat joe and Fabolous are copying the south's style to sell records. I mean I liked some of Fabolous's songs off Loso's Way and even Maino has some joints. But I just think its corny that they making their albums like TI would make. That would be like if TI or Luda tried to make an album that sounded like a Nas album, just because NY was the big thing. I'm happy they are getting money, but its hard for me to respect them to much. I mean its one thing to have one or two southern sounding songs, thats different. But when your whole album doesnt match where your from....thats weak to me as a rap fan

New york rappers sounds ****** when they try to rap like a southern rapper, i cant stand the rappers that do it. Music from the south is just...really dumbed down and thats not what new yorks about. The average souther rapper probably needs a translator when they come to New York. I heard they give out free dictionarys in the south when you buy Illmatic. Lets forget about the rapper from Triple C's that said "banks we dont understand them big azz words in the south." Banks is nice but hes not hard to understand. No disrespect to him but hes not the Nas or AZ type.
