Don't get me wrong ; I dig a lot of Pac's work. Biggie I never got into.

But I find them both to be a bit overrated ever since they bit the dust.

Nas, Jay, Em, DMX, Rakim ; all better than Pac and Biggie, IMO.

this track alone is proof of The Notorious BIG's undisputable status one of the greatest rappers of all time. it really cannot be argued, in my opinion.

but back to the thread...
it blows my mind that everyone seems to have so much respect for an artist who has sold out as hard as Eminem has. his skills are very real, don't get me wrong, but he has sold out worse than any other rapper that i can think of. it would not be as obvious if he wasn't so talented. and his sell out wasn't even gradual. he has been a sell out since the beginning of his career! usually artists will wait a bit...but not Em.

I bump this song all the time, easily one of my favorites. As far as being overrated, I'm not sure. Biggie was a crazy lyricist, Pac's lyrics weren't technically as good in my opinion, but he had more of a message, although he was pretty hypocritical sometimes. Both are in my top 10, though.
