I just listened to the entire thing in full.. and totally unbiased it's not a good album. Don't get me wrong, he has some songs that I will be saving on my Itunes such as Curve, I Hate My Job, Silky, and I Get It In Ohio is playable but come on people the entire thing as a whole cohesive album is wretched. Let me clear up what Im saying though so I don't get fully flamed by the Cam fans.. his lyrical approach actually is still on point (which shows to me he can still make a solid album) but the production is horrrrible. It really goes to show you that Cam needs that classic Heatmakerz, Rocafella era sound to fit his style.. just look at these tracks below..
Who- You think the beat is going to go hard but it just tails off into some horrible Get Em Girls cheap re-make.
You Know What's Up- The features are so ****ing corny. It feels like a horrible Nate Dogg impersonator over a lame concept for the song. This is so unlike Cam.. this type of record.
Spend The Night- Did Killa Cam really get over an techno beat?? Make it Hot by Wiz Khalfia works.. this doesn't at all.
Chalupa- The ****ing synth makes my ears want to explode. A basic dumbed down drum pattern over a weak Cam verse.. come on at this point in the album I am getting pissed off.
Cookies N Apple Juice- This is a beat for OJ Da Juiceman and Gucci Mane.. not Cam'ron. It's a pure southern sound which for all the NYC Cam fans is not flying.
Homicide- Nothing special and is chalked full of the southern drum rolls.. zZzzZ.. a song you can easily pass on when listening to an album. Not to mention the hook is terrible.
Got it for Cheap- see Clipse's Got It For Cheap for a good song with this title.
I just feel like Cam went into the studio and didn't pick a cohesive sound like on albums before. This dissapointed me and even some true Cam fans I know. I cant even understand why people would give it 4/5 or even 3.5/ 5... it has some nice songs (the ones I named above) but overall falls flat. If this was the track list, it would have been a lot better.
1. Cookin Up Intro
2. Never Ever
3. Curve
4. Skit
5. Silky (No ****)
6. Get It In Ohio
7. I Hate My Job
8. Get It Get It
9. Skit
10. Bottom of the ***** Hole
