      Talib for me.

When Black Star first arrived, i always thought Mos was the better of the two, but over time, Talib has shown more consistency.

I take quality over quantity any day of the week, so although neither have released anything for a few years, i still put both at the top of the rap tree.

I'm not sure when Talib is deciding to release his next album, but Mos has 'The Ecstatic' coming up next month, and with featured appearances from Black Thought, Slick Rick, Madlib, Jay Electronica and Chad Hugo all rumoured to be on board, we can all hope for the best.

Talib is incomplete to me, all he has is lyrics.

Mos Def has lyrics and mic presence.

"invisible man got the whole world watching"- Mos Def on Hip Hop.

One of the best lines in Hip Hop history if you know the literary reference.

              I prefer Kweli.

Train of Thought is one of my favorite albums and I think it's the best work between the two. Talib is consistent and generally always enhances anything he's featured on.

A few years ago the answer would have been Mos Def, but (as others have said)... But Kweli has done a really good job with his albums. Coming up this year the new Reflection Eternal CD is supposed to come out and I think it'll be good to see Kweli and Hi Tek back together again. I posted the new song off that album a couple weeks ago, but didn't get any replys so I figured nobody was feeling that, or just didn't care of Kweli.
