like i've said, buddens is the best underrated rapper i've heard. he's rhyme-scheme is a thing of pure beauty--he is very clever, very conscience as an artist. imo he is a better battle rapper than pac was because of his rhyme scheme. he is very metaphorical, that being buddens, always been.

Im with truth on this one...theres not really much respect being shown in this thread, but anyone that listens to buddens enough knows that this is a really good question. As soon as i saw this thread, i knew it would lead to problems. I could have predicted just about everything that has happened so far...i had to think about how i would answer, and let me point out that im a big fan of pac and buddens, but im probably a bigger fan of pac.
Just because many consider him to be the greatest off all time doesnt mean that hes the best at everything. Truths only claim was that buddens is a better BATTLE RAPPER, and after thinking about it for a good 15 minutes i decided that LINE FOR LINE, Buddens makes better disses. Everyone keeps bringing up how Pac is a legend, and the impact of his disses but that is completely irrelevent to this thread and shows poor reading comprehension on behalf of the posters who are doing this.
Line for Line...we can go back and forth, posting Pac and Buddens lines, but the majority of the people on here will remain stubborn, opionated, and closed minded. Im looking at this very openly, from every perspective. I listen to both of them alot. And i like Pac more...and in no way am i trying to criticize Buddens by saying that, hes made alotta great music and is arguably a top 5 mc this decade.
And we cant forget that this aint the 90's no more. This is 2009, records dont sell that much anymore and lyrics are looked down on, due to the average fan having a much lower IQ. The average rap fan nowadays wouldnt know half the things wu-tang talked about...there was that southern rapper thats cool with rick ross that said "Banks, we dont know what the **** your talking about....we dont understand them big ass words in the south." The song "lollipop" is further proof that the average fan is less intelligent now. So lets stop bringing up how Joe Buddens aint really that famous and hasnt made that much of an impact...not only is that irrelevant to what truth said, but its irrelevant to the current state of hip hop.
I would think that with all the back packers on this site, hip hop sales wouldnt mean much to anyone. Some of their favorite rappers probably cant even sell a thousand records. What would an album from Blu, Jay Electronica, or Reks sell? Those are all very skilled rappers that are completely ignored by the mainstream. Even if they were to get locked up for murder, that wouldnt make a big impact on hip hop.
It would be a waste of time to post lines from 2pac and joe buddens, half of the posters in this thread probably dont even really listen to him so how can we take their opinions seriously? The fact is (and this is coming from someone once again that likes 2pac more the buddens, and considers pact to be at least top 3 all time) that this thread is respectable, you could make a good argument either way. The strong bias's are not necessary, please close the thread.
