^^ Being white is not a given to help you out. There are several GOOD white rappers out that always fly under the radar. Guys that I think could rap circles around Asher... Haystak, Atmosphere, Ill Bill are just a few... I do think Asher's music should not be taken too serious... its just party music IMO. Kind of like old Beastie Boys stuff.

i only brought up white rappers because some people feel that asher roth is only hated because he is white...to be honest, theres not many white rappers that i like except eminem and the alchemist, even though he barely ever raps.

The reason why i dislike Asher Roth has nothin to do with him being a white rapper or sounding anything like Eminem. I didnt like the 3 or 4 songs that I had heard from him prior to the release of his album.

After listening to his album twice, i have no idea why this kid has a strong buzz going...actually, its probably because hes white and the cooperate ***s are giving him some extra promotion.

The cd was terrible, if i was to buy it the only thing i would use it for is rollin up my weed on. I was surprised by how bad it was, I see theres some people on here and other sites that like him. I figured that his cd would at least be decent. A couple of the beats are cool, but thats about the only good thing i can say about this cd.
At least half of the songs are hot, Ash can rap circles around 90% of active MCs...

Someone needs to edit his CD to get crap like "I love College" off of it, but I say you're way too hard on the album

Do you have anything else to say? Im entitled to my own opinion, and I already stated that i listened to the cd twice. The first time i really wasnt feeling it, but because of the buzz its received i chose to listen to it a 2nd time. Its straight up garbage, somethin to roll weed on. Honestly, that new jim jones cd >> this. Theres no more then 2 hot songs on this cd.

This is a nice intro to Asher...kind of like "Juicy" on the Biggie debut album...but in Asher's world

Here's another serious song that I think shows he's not restricted to the silly pop songs to perform on MTV Spring Break. Seriously, this one is the best written one on the album

This one has an old Fresh Prince/Young MC/Tone Loc vibe to it
