    Life after death is garbage

People's so called goat has 1 good album, i like biggie but he's not in my top 10...Life after death is a garbage album, 1 album doesn't make u the goat...but it upsets me how life after death is so ***en overated...by the way biggies most popular songs are basic samples that were already huge hits

Gargabe is a strong and partially dumb word to use. In fact it's not partially it 's fully dumb to disrespect a great lyricist like Biggie. This album was a classic. And who cares if they used samples that were already hits? Last time I checked people have done this in hip hop for ages.

This album has some commercial joints though. But most if not all of them are pretty dope.

Garbage is a strong word to use. As the poster above said, it's a slightly commercial album, but the songs have some good lyrics. And anyway, Biggie gets his respect for his first album. Ready to Die is very, very good.

As the others said, garbage is a little to harsh. I admit, it isnt that great of an album and it is overrated because he died, but to say its garbage? I have to disagree.

The Playa Hatas song was the ******est **** ever. Horrible track.

          You're an idiot.

Hip Hop Music is a genre that is based on sampling other music !

So your statement in bold really applies to almost every Hip Hop/Rap song ever made.

                LOL @ asking me that.

And LOL @ you trying to 'show' me how to make a beat.

And again, I will state...the majority of samples used in Hip Hop are used and sound very close to the original, or are just interpolations of the original piece.

There is no such thing as a 'basic sample' as you put it.

Which I actually think you meant that the producer didn't 'flip' the sample or use the sample to create something totally new sounding.

I have hundreds of original samples (VINYL, you young buck) used and made popular in Hip Hop songs, and I would say that 95% or more of them are what you would call 'basic samples'...whatever the hell that dumb ass term is.

Not basically sampling, artist need to regain the passion

Term has always been used when we went to studio sessions i heard tons of people use it..Alot of the tracks may sound exactly the same for that half second they flip no ****.. But not a 3 second loop over and over with 0 change, thats a basic sample being looped over and over....Wow people actually have respect for puffys producing skills
