    Theres no other New York rappers that come close to Busta when it comes to gettin a whole bunch of other rappers to do a remix.

    While im at it, I might as well add that hes a legend and one of the most underrated rappers ever. Hes been nice since he was with Leaders of the New School.

    Busta is a legend, and is nice. But I would put Cam'ron and Jay-Z as guys who could get buzz going for new york again aswell(as far as on a mainstream level)......

    like busta, they have enough commercial appeal to possibly do it.

        I think they could, but they have done nothing special over the past few years to bring new york back. Busta Rhymes has jumped on multiple remixes with other New York rappers, and rappers from other regions. Many believe thats the only way for New York rappers to shine again, is for them to collaborate with each other like they once did. Thats one of the things that was so great about the 90's and early 2000's.

        Not 50, not jay-z, not cam'ron....none of them has really made an attempt to bring it back to NY. Im a fan of all them but im just keepin it real...when it comes to talking about bringing new york back, to this point they should all keep quiet until they do something. 50 would be put at the top of that list, for only doing songs with g-unit/shady rappers.

            this is a great thread, Mac.
            we've talked before about how underrated he is currently and how underrated he always has been. i think that if anyone can bring it back to NY, it's Busta. i would love to witness a movement in this regard.

                Yeah busta deffinantly deserves a ton of credit as far as features with other NY rappers... Now that you mention it Mac that is 100% true.

                I still dream of another LOX album dropping and getting new york in a frenzy, I could see it happening... but until it does im still dreaming lol
