Honestly I would say Hov or Nas....but the question was whos the best right now?

right now, like I said I don't know. I'm confident that it would be either jay or nas if they dropped right now......

i agree but if he could do more songs like the one with Nicole Wray on Killa Season, or D' Rugs off his 1st cd...that could boost him to the #1 spot in my opinion. He gets no credit for D rugs....

For me it has to be Nas. He's the one of the only artist I 'm actually expectin to hear somethin nice. And all of his features have been on point. The content of his last album was strong. He has a ton of quotable on this album. Queens get that money shows he's still as lyrically potent as ever.

          Just check his features lately...

          Letter To The King

eminem has been the best rapper for the last decade if you ask me. he has been gone for a while now, but he has put out enough classic **** to take this long of a break and still not be outshined by any rapper in the game. i guarantee you all this, when em comes back this spring, all eyes will be on him, and once again, he will take over rap like he always has. when he comes, a storm comes, he's the only one in the room.

It would have to be Jay, Em, or TI.

TI got put on another level over the last year or so... his name needs to be mentioned with the top 5's in hip hop right now.

But i think jada is that dude, hes one of the only dudes really still spittin bars...
Alot of these internet lames start talkin **** like jada is trying to get mainstream... any mainstream song hes been puttin out has been lyrical.

I noticed on MTV JAMS today they had back to back to back to backkkkkk D block music... i was lovin it.... jada is gettin that promotion.

Kiss My Ass - March 10th - Go cop that ****.

yall can go do the stanky leg, ill be bumpin that KISS MY ASS!!!

How the hell are people saying Eminem??? He's not dropped a decent album since 2002 and crack a bottle is pure garbage!!

I think I would probably say Jay Z. His last album was good and hopefully he will put a lot of effort into BP3

Agreed, if Eminem would have quit after the 8 Mile soundtrack he would easily be in my top 5 rappers of all time, no question about it. But unfortunately he fell into the same old same old routine. I can tell you what his next album is going to be already. He’s going to talk about him and Dre being the “superheroes” of rap. Then he’s going to get on and talk about 50 and his crew and how they battle for each other. Then he’ll have a song about his mom and daughter. He may even go back AGAIN and pull up **** from his past 15 years ago when he was in high school or just starting out… It’s sad really, it’s like he can’t find anything in his current situation worth rapping about. Oh well, back on topic….

Best rappers now. Ludacris hasn’t been mentioned? He’s witty, popular, good beats and production, one of the better lyricist, he’s consistently putting out new music but he’s content still remains different. Honorable mention to “The Roots” I don’t know if their mainstream enough, but put out some good music.
