There may be a couple of Hip Hop acts i like a little better, but if someone unfamiliar with Hip Hop asked me to hear some music that embodies what Hip Hop is, I would give them a Nice and Smooth album rather than any other Hip Hop album.

that was dope. its weird I'm embaressed to say I never really listened to Pete Rock very much. All of sudden today I hear a song by him, and boom! I like every song I've heard since. I want buy all his cds ASAP.

honestly you have probably heard him before and just not known it was him. don't be embarrassed. at least you know who he is now, and it can really only go uphill from here because he is an absolute genius. pete rock actually did a remix CD of Jay Z tracks that you would probably enjoy.

I like what I'm hearing. I like the smooth/jazzy sound in the beats. and hes actually a very good rapper too.

Meg you get up on that Petestrumentals album? That was nice...I made an impulse buy and grabbed that a long time ago. It was since stolen, but there were some hypnotic beats on dem ****s.

i have Petestrumentals. i'm sorry it wasn't given back to you. i hate it when i go out on a limb for the sake of spreading good music to a friend and they don't return the CD or they **** it up. a lot of people don't understand the value of a good ablum...it's a sick CD. i love Pete Rock. your choice tracks are boom.
