I saw The Roots live......

...on Monday night at Nottingham Rock City, and i have to say that they are one of the best live acts i've seen on stage.

I'm not just talking about the hip hop scene, but i've seen such acts as Muse, Metallica, Deep Purple etc.. among the great live acts and The Roots just simply owned the stage they were on. Although it wasn't the biggest venue (2000 people), i think it's safe to say that Black Thought, Guestlove? and co know how to put on a performance going through a setlist that included recent tracks on Game Theory and Rising Down to the old classics on Illadelph Halflife and Things Fall Apart.

I'm not sure how many dates are left on their UK tour, but to any hip hop fans in the UK, check their tour details and make sure you don't miss them.

The Roots are easily one of the must see acts in Hip Hop. I see them everytime they come to Atlanta. Been a fan since the days of Organix.

Organix is a GREAT album. i don't think they've dropped a bad one yet. i agree. they are incredible live. watching them perform Act Too (Love of My Life) was one of the most touching experiences hip hop has ever given me. i know that sounds kinda gay but i can't really explain it in any other way. i could feel it in my entire body, you know?
