Wow. Some are delusional. Just because it sold a lot doesn't mean it's a great album. It's unbelieveable to read the stuff you are typing. So what it sold. Who cares? I'm judging the quality of the album.

      Exactly.
It was highly anticipated, but not highly appreciated.

Well "usually" to go plat in one week, the album h as to be at least HALF WAY decent, you cant tell me that the carter 3 was wack, but it went plat in the first weak... How come all the "GOOD" albums out there dont do that?
Weezy must have just a lil bit of quality in his music , he makes songs that know one else could think of making.. His flow is CRAZY!

          Not even!

It was leaked 2 to 3 weeks before the album dropped, so people already knew what it was all about... So dont make it sound like people were anticipating it then were dissapointed when they bought it.. They already knew what was on the CD.

Fact of the matter is Tha Carter III was supposed to be dropped years before it finally came out. The **** is like his first Studio album in like 3.5 years.
You add that to all the buzz Lil Wayne created for himself by doing features and making hot mixtapes (credit to him), and Tha Carter III becomes a highly anticipated album.

The stuff that was on that album doesn't equal the long delay.

Too much Wayne defending going on. Not all albums sell huge numbers. That doesn't take away from it being a good album. It seems like your concept of music is a bit flawed. When I listened to All On Eyez on Me I didn't think the album was dope because it sold crazy. I just thought it was a crazy ass album.

Carter 3 had some wack songs on it. Overall it was okay. And on a lot of verses he came off extremely average.

I totally disagree Lefty!! The album is hot if you ask me..Every track brings a different favor with it..Its create enough for me to jam it from beginning to end..

It's an album to vibe to. Some of the songs I didn't like though. I can still listen to it. I don't mean the album is terrible or anything. It's just that my expectations were for it to be as good as Carter 2.
