I like some of the South music. I do really. Kind of similar to the west coast where we aren't considered as lyrical as the East Coast. But some of the music just ****s.
But a lot of artists took it too personal. To the extent that they have to scream "hip hop is alive" every chance they get. I'm listening to the Mili remix and he states this after he talks about how much he sold.
Wayne selling is good for hip hop. Becuase it shows that the genre can still sell. But it's completely not the point that was made on the artform being dead. It's dead becuase there are not as many young artists who have skill. And most of them are looking to make a hit rather than a good album.
A lot of artist try to say hip hop is alive. Stop it just do what you do and make your money. I'm not hating on that at all.
