You have to respect how much he makes sure he feels the beat before he even opens his mouth.
That's the sense I get from listening to his stuff.

dawg Jeezy is hard on every track..Simplistic or not, that leaves it all in the booth with every verse...Neils, you should open up a bit more..

Jeezy is pretty average. I've heard way worse. He and Wayne are very solid compared to most up and coming "artists" these days.

If I hear it on the radio, I don't react with a sense of urgency to change the dial, but Jeezy is the equivalent to a straight-to-video DVD and when there are a half dozen theatrical releases every week, I don't mess with a lot of straight-to-video DVD releases. Once in a while there's a diamond in the rough, but usually there's a reason it was dumped to video. Hearing Jeezy on someone else's song for 16 bars is tolerable, but I can't see myself pressing "download" the next time he comes out with an LP. There's only so much time to listen to so much music, so I try to be a little bit more discerning.

Plus, when it comes to simplistic yet loveable, I'll take Too Short or even Birdman over Jeezy. All 3 have some type of charm on the mic I suppose, but if I was a critic, I'd have to say they all suck...
