Which region's production do you prefer?

Is it the dirty South? West Coast? East Coast? Mid West? Which is it.

For me being from L.A. basically raised on Snoop/Dre/Pac/Quick/Warrent G. etc. I like a lot of g-funk production. But that style is basically dead. I like the funky bassline and the piano keys. Any of that newer Dre stuff. And Quick still put out some dope songs recently. I'm a big fan of that west type of production.

    Damn. Too hard to pick.
Everywhere got their pros and cons, but I probably gotta say South got more pros than any other region.
I hate those crunk type beats though.

South for beats and Production and east for lyrics......But we all had a lil g-funk in us when we were young.

When it was new, I was a big fan of West Coast 1993-1996 or so, but overall East Coast

I prefer the East Coasts gritty productions. West Coast make the best beats.....south is generally annoying.

RZA, Premier (although he was born in the south) and Havoc. Who can argue with that?

            The South Still Holdin!!!

Followed by the West Coast, then the Midwest..

The East Coast is just annoying....with the whole hip hop dead crap..

I can't lie. Down south has some serious heat. I love the 808's and claps. And all those hi hat patterns in Southern music. Young Jeezy's albums have nothing but heat as far as production.

By the way is Ross new album a good listen beat wise? And can you hook me up with a link?

You know each region has its own still of flow..I love the hard noise lyrics that comes from the south..Although I think its some creative stuff, I'm not a huge fan of the "pop lock & drop" music..I also love the whole NWA movement..I'm a huge fan of Game and Snoop..I'll jam a lil Twista, Kanya, Bone Thugs outta that mid-west..The mid-west also has an all-time great in music with R. Kelly...I'll definitely jam a lil Fabalous, Jada Kiss, Freeway, Jay-Z and a few others from the East..Music is good for the soul...I also put in 8 hour of hard listening to Motown and Soul..I get around them genres playa..

Exactly!!! I also think the mid west has been putting it down but hasn't got the attention they deserve. I'm just not feeling the south though. It's too simple & mainstream.
