After one two full listens, its above average. Not on the level of his last two albums imo, but it'll be hard him to top those anyways.

The lack of guest artists hurts the album a bit imo. Although the production isnt as impressive as CD or LR, there are still tracks with fresh beats that Jay, Kweli, Lupe, Common, Mos, Nas, etc. could have rhymed on.

Yeah...I agree with that man. Kanye for me is a one dimensional rapper. He needs a lot of guest appearances to make up for his lack of skill and delivery. Production is good...he is a great producer BUT i dont like his beat selection that much.

I think the album is really good. It's not like a regular producer's album. Kanye is pushing himself as an artist. It's not like Dre where he has a feature every track. I'm glad Kanye went that route with this album. He can most definitely holdhis own on the mic. And by the way the track with Mos is probably the worst on the album.

exactly, how the **** do you get away with sampling another current hit?

The album as a whole is enjoyable though.

Yeah, it is. I don't know if Kanye can "hold his own" on the mic listening to the album without fast forwarding, but a few songs here and there works...

I mean I don't what your expectations are lyrically. But he's pretty good in my opinion. He's not bad at all in my opinion. And he talks about some real **** in his lyrics.
