    Lately I've been listening to a lot of different hip hop like The Roots, Mos Def, Illogic, GZA, Outkast and Gift Of The Gab mainly because of their lyrical ability and have really enjoyed it. I've listened to all of them quite a bit in the past but they've become the only things I've really listened to over the last few days basically.

    I had my Ipod on shuffle today and The Game came on and I skipped the song straight away because of what I was hearing. I really couldn't listen to his mindless droning. The song was Start From Scratch and I normally enjoy that song but I just couldn't listen to it.

    Has this happened to anyone else?

    And does anyone know any other artists in the mould of ones I've named? (I have been listening to quite a few other artists but can't be assed naming them all)

    That doesn't happen to me.... because I wouldn't download, or at least download and keep, a Game song...

      I kind of went the opposite. I used to listen to a lot of 'underground' and it got extremely boring to me so I started listening to whatever the **** I wanted, whatever sounded good.

      But I still listen to a little bit of 'underground'.

        Same here. The only mainstream I would listen to would be Gang Starr and NWA. Now I listen to underground every once in a while.

          ive been listening to saigon a bit lately... he has some talent but the subject matter is lacking some times.
