are you kidding? not a bad song, but the hip hop heads i know don't really consider it one of the greatest songs of all time. then again, people i know have been listening to rap before the nineties.

and "To Live And Die In L.A.?" the song sucks!

"dre day" was absolutely huge back in the day. absolutely a monster of a song. mtv played that song probably every 20 minutes.

mc bryde, you know, i don't hear a lot of people throw that name around. nice to see it pop up somewhere.

Not to argue but everyone I know whether their deeply into Hip Hop or not love that song. That song is legendary and timeless you can throw that on and always enjoy it. And you don't have to have listened to hip hop in the 80's to know what it's about.

That song doesn't suck in my opinion. Especially as a west coast song and me being from Cali.

tribute to older shool west coast rap, right? ima combine the west with the south here to broaden the music a bit. enjoy these classics:

"****tales" from the album "****tails" by too shor(1995):

"neighberhood sniper" from "5150 home 4 tha sick" by eazy e. off of one of my favorite short albums(1992) - sorry, the embed feature has been disabled for this so here's the link:

seeing as the song i wanted to embed here is disabled, here's "any last werds" off of eazy e's "187 umkilla album"(1993):

the "new day remix" from a little known group called south circle. i have no idea if this remix is on any album, but thier only album "anotha day anotha balla"(1995) is considered a classic by every hip hop head i know. and i should know, since i introduced these guys to many back in the day:

this is "just like candy" by eightball and mjg from the "suave house compilation" from back in 1997:

****e 1 and mc eight with "the murda show":

and ****e 1 "strap on tha side":

not a problem. i'm glad you made this thread as i found some videos that i didn't even know had existed.

i look forward to the east coast tribute. i'm much more of an east coast rap fan even though i really couldn't care less about where a rapper posts up.
