Great movie in the hardest class I took at Cal.. I had no idea how hard an elective would be... I had to go pass/fail on it.

These artistic type of people really know their stuff.

I also took asian American studies and Maxine Hong Kingston was a task master.

I took Chicano studies thinking it would be an easy A.... nope..

I was burnt out on minority studies and the people who taught them..

I was happy to just focus on electrical engineering and computer science.. I’m a PMP

The other nominees were Al Pacino, Clint Eastwood or Robert Downey jr

He was good as Malcolm but not great. You could argue that Pacino's performance in scent of a woman was his best

I know who Malcolm X was.

The movie was good but it wasn't that good. It was too long.

Why would it win best screenplay? The movie was based on an autobiography.

I've seen that movie twice. I was fairly entertained but it never made me feel like 'holy shyt'

If this movie was some sort of masterpiece the accusations of racial bias would have some grounds. But it wasn't. It was good but nothing we never seen before or after.
