So once again....
What the OP has described as reparations is NOT reparations. Reparations is not, "White people give away free money to Blacks." If reparations were enacted, then I, as a Black American, would also have a responsibility to contribute my tax dollars to it.
Reparations is about THE AMERICAN GOVERNMENT making amends for the injustices it carried out against ****** and the descendants of ******. It is not only about slavery, but also about the Jim Crow era.
When the Japanese were granted reparations for their internment during WWII, it was NOT "White people have to pay for what they did to the Japanese." It was about what THE AMERICAN GOVERNMENT did. When the descendants of Native Americans were granted reparations for what the AMERICAN GOVERNMENT did to them in 1868, it was not, "White people have to pay for what they did to the Native Americans." So forth and so on.
Another misconception....it would NOT have to be in the form of a paycheck to every black person. Reparations could be used for education, business opportunities, social programs, etc.
It's not about white vs. black at all. It's about AMERICA righting the wrong for it's biggest sin against a people, much like it's done with other groups of people, and no one got together to have a big cry over it.
If this topic is going to keep coming up, at least understand what you are talking about.
And ***** is trying to invest $500B into black communities and programs to elevate the black community, and you morons are trying to vote him out!!
HAHAHAHA WHAT AN IDIOT YOU ARE!
Have fun on staying on that ******** plantation amigo!

And I don't support reparations. It's basically an admittance that we can't hang with the big kids in the deep end of the pool, so society has to treat us like a kid in Special Ed class wearing a helmet so he doesn't hurt himself.
There's no shortage of successful black business people, so there's no reason everyone else can't do it.
I see successful black people all the time, and they do not need to be given money or need to take money off of majority white tax payers to be successful in life.
You are a good example of a person who is successful and does not need that social hand-out...... so I look up to you, sir. and you gain my respect by not playing the victim

That's not 500B for black businesses. That's the same 500B that is annually allotted by the government for small businesses.
Roland Martin deconstructs the "Platinum Plan" here, and comes to the conclusion that it's really the "Aluminum Plan." Nothing there.
I timestamped it where he discusses the supposed 500B.
Have fun drinking that kool-aid!
