It wasn’t a weak era but I think players have become far more advanced athletically and defensively in the past 15 years or so.

He hardly ever matched up with someone that could guard him. These days every team has defensive specialists

I think Jordan played in a very good era overall. He wasn't playing against no h0es. The rules then were geared towards a more brawny and physical game too. They beat the 541t outta each other
