    What do you think?

My nephew that pretty much grew up at my home is moving out of CA. He got a very good sales job a couple years ago. He's been making big bucks with no degree ECT.

Today he text me saying CAT is paying him 4k to move to TX. They're going to pay him 6k a month plus commission.

He's never worked with heavy equipment and done manual labor. I wish him the best but I don't want him to get screwed. I guess that's part of growing up, he just turned 21.

Is this the pay out there? Seems crazy.

I agree and support him. But these kids don't have a lot of common sense these days.
They want him to be a team lead, that's right under a manager. Now, he's never even sat in a CAT anything. Just kind of doesn't add up.

I didn't say anything but gave him support. But the other side of me thinks it all doesn't add up. But I guess h s young and risk is a lot less when you're that age.

He should google up the names of the people making these offers, see if anything negative comes up. Seems odd they would offer a 21 year old with no prior experience that much money. Especially in Texas where the cost of living is much lower. Since they are willing to pay for his move they have some skin in the game, but I would think there would be plenty of interested candidates in Texas without having to pay to move a potential employee with no experience.

That's what I'm saying. They can't hire someone in management that's been there for years and knows what's going on?
So they're going to bring on some 21 year old kid that knows nothing the product?
He said the other workers would be calling him. I was like wtf? I was thinking, yeah but if they don't know how will you? Lol

Anyway, I wish him all the best for sure as he's like a son to me. His mom and dad don't even know yet.
