    An interesting experience

I know some of y'all like when I tell stories, so here's one. I'm still wrapping my head around this one.

My parents still live in the house I grew up in. I'm over visiting dad recently and dad brings up Mitch from down the street.

Mitch was about 6 years older than me, so we never hung out at any stage of childhood, but he had a brother who was my brother's age and that his was a very cool family. They had alot of huge neighborhood parties, their house was open to all the neighborhood kids, and everyone liked them. They never had trouble with anyone. Good people.

So I kinda knew Mitch. Growing up he was a huge computer kid, mainly. But not just playing on them, Mitch could build and program them himself, do hacking things, etc. Really sharp kid, he may have been the top of his HS class iirc. He was quiet, a little nerdy, but had a social life.

I'd see Mitch here and there cause his parents and mine never moved and for years we both stayed in South Austin. Dude went to college for Computer Engineering and got a postgrad degree. He got a job as computer engineer, got married, had a couple kids. I haven't seen him in a bit though, since I've lived outside Austin the last few years.

I tell dad, 'Yeah, I remember Mitch'.

Dad replies, 'Well apparently it's Michelle now.'

              No, I have not.

One time after that day I was back over at dad's one day and we were in the yard.

A car went by and he told me that was Mitch. I didn't get a good look.

I'm actually hoping I never run into him. I'll call him nothing but 'Mitch' because, well, he was Mitch for over 50 years and he always will be Mitch.

I figure that probably wont go over too well.
