Texas, NM, AZ and California would just be plagued with more poverty and run by cartels if they weren't taken by the U.S. It's easy to point out that America stole land from Native Americans or Mexicans, but look what we have achieved with that land. No one points that out. Had America been left to the Indians and Mexicans it would resemble a much bigger version of Mexico right now, and Canada would have built a wall fifty years ago.
