Malcolm preached fire and brimstone, but NOI wasn't getting into shootouts with authorities like the Panthers were, two nonanalogous groups.

I ain't U, U ain't me, and forever we ain't ever seeing eye to eye on what is obvious and tangible to me.

U being in the amorphous navel gazers and dreamers sect.
Hippies were the social group that actively formed institutions promoting the Bakti lifestyle. These institutions were such that young people associated with them were skeptical of war efforts. Most modern history in this country took place on the West coast where communes, the practice of tuning out and turning on took place. up until a few years ago one could still find young people on Haight Ashbury, where I actually lived, in groups, taking acid together.

So the fact that your dad, and my mother by the way... was not part of this demographic is not particularly relevent. I don't know about your dad, but my mother found that most of her fellow protesters had kids that had been drafted, I was a baby... Ergo, she protested out of principle alone, and not because the draft threatened her.

Noi? dont know to whom you refer. Did you ever think that maybe the authorities at that time, needed to be engaged with weapons?

You, like 99 percent of this country have no understanding about Bakti movements. How much progress they can achieve for a social group, and how much progress was made in America at this time...only to be subsequently destroyed by the most cynical of disinfo agents like Charley Manson, and a government that would slip LSD mickeys to citizens and watch what happened. Your ignorance is the common ignorance that pejoratively characterizes what is perhaps the real reason we should be here, on this Earth, and what our work really is.

Those navel gazers managed to stop the war and were set upon... The whole Laurel canyon campaign set up by institutionalized Satanists, and the military, all the agents let loose on the hippies, like Manson that son of a biatch. And to this day, drugs discovered like LSD, MDMA that have been documented to clinically stop addicts destructive behavior, sometimes in one session, are yet to be put out there for people.

Those navel gazers also had communes that BOTHERED NO ONE, and educated children, fed people on very little and were productive and enriching... and while in other societies like israel these groups are respected (Kabutz) in our society they are derided to this day by the same cynical reaction you registered.

Such ignorance is truly sad and proof that this world depends on dragging all good social impulses, and progress, social evolution, down into the s hit hole we all must live in. yeah I am glorifying certain aspects, but the benefit, the impulse, and the resistance to human beings killing each other over the wims of the governments of the world, is no exxageration. GROW UP, its never too late. You have enough understanding of the big problems which is the only reason I hold your attitude in such contempt... You seem to know better so check yourself, for the good of humanity.

The same can be said of the other two "Abrahamic" faiths. All of them are religions of the slave master and should be ignored..

              - -Yes, like all enfants terrible, U think by the extension of your Cornflakia domicile, that U were the center of the universe and change.

Now U movement has set Cornflakia to endless crippling wildfires, homelessness, and tax injustices that had them trying to secede from themselves in the 2016 elections that got shot down before they could be exposed to the voters.

The NOI completely antithetical to Cornflakia. Btw, had a telling encounter with 3 NOI suits late one night in a Jersey truck stop urinal where we relieved ourselves in total respect to each other with no problems.

I would also point out today's NOI ain't the same as in Elijah heyday, but they're still in the mix of what concerns them.

Simple, direct, something a bright child would say... Words that were so damn true that it often went over even the most well intentioned people's heads:

"I aint got no beef with no Viet Cong" and with that, a fighter, refused to take up arms against another group of exploited individuals... A Black man who was strong enough to not do the bidding of a government that had no business killing.

That was what made Ali so great... Not his political beliefs which were often contrived and even silly. Those words cut across it all, and when he went to prison to back them up, it showed strength of character and Wisdom.
                  Well said. Bravo...

Ali was a segregationist who reputedly spoke about it at a Klan gathering during a wave of integration.

Make of it what you will according to your political dictates.
Oh really? Well, lets see what he had to say..
"Urban riots must now be recognized as durable social phenomena. They may be deplored, but they are there and should be understood. Urban riots are a special form of violence. They are not insurrections. The rioters are not seeking to seize territory or to attain control of institutions. They are mainly intended to shock the white community. They are a distorted form of social protest. The looting which is their principal feature serves many functions. It enables the most enraged and deprived Negro to take hold of consumer goods with the ease the white man does by using his purse. Often the Negro does not even want what he takes; he wants the experience of taking. But most of all, alienated from society and knowing that this society cherishes property above people, he is shocking it by abusing property rights. There are thus elements of emotional catharsis in the violent act. This may explain why most cities in which riots have occurred have not had a repetition, even though the causative conditions remain. It is also noteworthy that the amount of physical harm done to white people other than police is infinitesimal and in Detroit whites and Negroes looted in unity.

A profound judgment of today's riots was expressed by Victor Hugo a century ago. He said, 'If a soul is left in the darkness, sins will be committed. The guilty one is not he who commits the sin, but he who causes the darkness.'

The policymakers of the white society have caused the darkness; they create discrimination; they structured slums; and they perpetuate unemployment, ignorance and poverty. It is incontestable and deplorable that Negroes have committed crimes; but they are derivative crimes. They are born of the greater crimes of the white society. When we ask Negroes to abide by the law, let us also demand that the white man abide by law in the ******s. Day-in and day-out he violates welfare laws to deprive the poor of their meager allotments; he flagrantly violates building codes and regulations; his police make a mockery of law; and he violates laws on equal employment and education and the provisions for civic services. The slums are the handiwork of a vicious system of the white society; Negroes live in them but do not make them any more than a prisoner makes a prison. Let us say boldly that if the violations of law by the white man in the slums over the years were calculated and compared with the law-breaking of a few days of riots, the hardened criminal would be the white man. These are often difficult things to say but I have come to see more and more that it is necessary to utter the truth in order to deal with the great problems that we face in our society."

                    - MLK, excerpt from a speech given @ the APA's Annual Convention in Washington, D.C. 9/1967
