If I needed to, I could probably manage a simple bench, dumbells, and a bar and some free weights.

I was going to buy some free weights already, as the bag stand was moving when I was working it (this pleasantly surprised me) and its one of those stands designed to hold free weights as anchor weight if needed. So I could store the free weights with no extra space.

(As an aside, I hear free weights are in short supply right now. I had to go to Home Depot and buy sandbags to weigh down the bag stand. But that looks ******, so once I can get some I was already planning on buying free weights, though I had no intentions of using them to work out with)

For the bench, bar, and bells, space is the concern there. I'm a car guy, so the garage is already shot.

    The motivation is key here.

Now that you bring it up that needs to be said.

I am HIGHLY motivated. That is not going away anytime soon.

I have had to dig deep into that to keep me from eating more, to get me take a few rides, and to keep some going the distance mapped out. But that is happening less and less. I'm enjoying the workouts more as opposed to them being work, and eating less is just physically easier now. I've shrank my stomach.

They come in handy nowadays though. Glad I didn't give these away.

            same again lol

i move my weekend car outside to use the whole garage space.
ive got speed, double end, heave and aqua bag.. its a fn buoy filled with water lol.

i suggest ditching the stand and hang the heavy bags on a beam. i hated the stands man theyd move so much even with just a jab.

That's great man stick with it. When I started in the gym I started with b-ball for cardio and for a good start to get things moving.
I did this for a month or so then added weights in. Never went real heavy as my body type didn't need it. I did high reps low weight and blew up. Fat melted and mass came on.
My doc also put me on testosterone and it helped a ton as it was low for my age.

Just keep at it but watch out you will get addicted lol. You should see my before and Afters lol.

You could go without gym if you wanted to tbh

When gyms here were closed i used to put on a backpack with some dumbells plates in it, have my ex (fckn bytch) sit on my shoulders and squat

Have her lie on me and I would do push ups. Not too many though, that shyt is 5x more taxing than bench press

Put the plates on my stomach and do dips

                Pull ups

Kept me in shape during this bs lockdown

The strongest dude I know does only bodyweight excersis. He also does that running and jumping in a park thing. You can tell he works out but he's not slow and bulky like gym buffs he's explosive and strong like pro fighters

When I take my daughter to gymnastics I'm blown away at the shape these young gymnastics guys are in. I've talked with them a few times and they say they use no weights it's all from gymnastics.

thats my goal. explosiveness and activation.
so now im just sticking 40 yard power sprints and quick stair high knees. no more long distance jogs since ive got my stamina at peak again. can definitely notice the negative effects of too much road work.

when i was on my weight gain muscle bulking goal, i peaked at 175.

so on this lockdown, i started cooking and eating alot. of course not working out either. i was between 166-169

so end of may i looked at myself in the mirror. yeah this wasnt it. i lost my definitions and my gut was getting huge. i had no problems with it before. i just turned 36 last week. so i know my metabolism cant be as it was. still high but i got work to do.

6/1 i started running of what i thought was 1.5 miles everyday with the dog. 3 weeks straight, no day skipped.
id also do stretches in between, push ups, stair sprints, shadow box, crunches. when i get home id put in work in my garage boxing gym.
first 2 weeks was a fn nightmare building up my stamina. by the 3rd week, i was feeling light as fk and could run nonstop with the dog with the dog with no breaks. i also was feeling shin splints and muscles breaking down so i stopped that. im biking instead.

i just got this smart watch. i ran yesterday after about a week off. my route actually measured at 5 miles. so ive been running that much for 3 weeks of what i thought was 1.5

im down at 159 now. im sad for the muscle loss but i feel light and in shape with all this boxing and cardio. id rather be like this than look short and fat.
seriously, if you're a normal person, height-wise, how much would you think you'll weigh?
